La Bonne Place
Clarification of Place de la Gare, La Chaux-de-Fonds

Through spatial re-organisation of the transport facilities and trajectories three distinctive places are created: Most prominently the Place de la Gare as a representative Piazza. Secondly, Le Square as a multi-use or ‘market’ square, and thirdly a compact Bus Station marked and spatially defined by an identity providing building for the bus corporation. All of the three squares are connected with both the new Le Corbusier neighbourhood and the city centre through the continuous Rue Verte. Moreover an uncompromised axis connects the train station building and the Place de la Gare to Rue Leopold-Robert and the formative urban grid north of the station. Everything is at the right place.
